Graveside services for Ruby Kathyrn Jaynes Ishee, age 96, were held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Myrtlewood Cemetery in Livingston with Rev. Johnathon Johnson officiating. Mrs. Ishee passed away December 13, 2021, at her home in Selma. She was born October 14, 1925, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Murphy Jaynes and Annie Goodwin Jaynes. She was a retired bookkeeper who formerly worked for the Sumter County Board of Education.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Ishee Hughey (Charles “Chuck” W.) of Selma; sister-in-law, Murle Jaynes of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Shelley Hughey Jordan (Eric) of Chelsea; and Sarah Hughey of Selma; great grandchildren, Madison and Colton Jordan of Chelsea; and Slade Sudsberry of Selma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hilton J. Ishee.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers, Grace Shannon, Stephanie Hill, Mae Hill, Ann Kinman, Vera Lynn Aaron, and Homestead Hospice for their compassionate care.
