Curtis named finalist for top Middle School Principal

R.B. Hudson STEAM Academy Principal Cicely Curtis is a finalist for the Middle School Principal of the Year Award in the state.
The Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals sponsors the award, which Curtis is one of three finalists. The winner will be announced in January.
At the Selma City Schools website, Curtis said she’s proud of her work as a educator in Selma, including Assistant Principal of R. B. Hudson and Principal of School of Discovery.
“My work presents clear evidence of my ability to successfully lead, instruct, and manage,” Curtis said. “I pride myself in demonstrating this through my passion for teaching, learning, and helping others. It is my desire to utilize my experiences to bring fresh and innovative ideas to R. B. Hudson STEAM Academy. I will ensure that our scholars are loved, exposed to limitless opportunities, and educated.”
