The Selma Housing Authority jumpstarted its Thanksgiving Holiday festivities last week.
The SHA gave away 100 turkeys last Friday.
Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr., SHA Executive Director Kennard Randolph, the Board of Commissioners, the SHA staff all helped with the drive.
The SHA also held a luncheon for its residents at each of the community centers: George Washington Carver, Felix Heights, Valley Creek and Rangedale. “The Thanksgiving Food Drive was a huge success,” Randolph said. “A very special thank you to Mayor Perkins, The Board of Commissioners, the Selma Housing Authority staff and to everyone who came out.”
Randolph said Thanksgiving is an important holiday. “The Selma Housing Authority is happy to serve families in need, especially during the holidays,” Randolph said.
