Christmas in the Park highlighted Valley Grande City Council meeting on Monday.
The entire city council was present: Mayor Wayne Labbe, councilwomen Sara Day, Kay Davidson, Jane Harris, councilmen Robbie Rose, Bruce Hughes and clerk/treasurer Kim Harris.
Christmas in the Park will be held on Sunday, December 5 from 2-4 p.m. at the Valley Grande City Park. Santa Claus, two elves and the grinch will be available for the two-hour period.
Day said that the park will be finished with Christmas decoration at the end of the week. Former Valley Grande Councilwoman Tammy Troha and Courtney Huffman decorated the park.
In other council news, the council hasn’t heard from the Dallas County Engineering Office about the installation of a culvert under the existing turnout at the Walking Trail.
Hughes presented the proposal at a previous council meeting and said it would cost $4,232.98.
The next Valley Grande City Council meeting will be held on Monday, December 6 at 6 p.m. at Valley Grande City Hall.
