A teenage inmate stabbed a Correctional Officer at the Dallas County Jail.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Joseph Davis, 18, is charged with attempted murder with stabbing on Thursday night at the Dallas County Jail.

Jackson said the officer was attacked and stabbed multiple times during a lockdown.  The officer was taken to a hospital, treated for injuries and was later released.

Jackson said that Davis remains in the county jail without bond. He is scheduled to get arraigned Monday in the Dallas County Courthouse.

“Thankfully, the jailer survived this attack, we are going to ask for a very high bond,” Jackson said.
