Selma High ended its losing streak, Meadowview Christian loses on homecoming.
Selma High 26, Woodlawn 22: Tristen Walls threw a pair of touchdown passes as the Saints (2-4) snapped a two-game losing streak.
Woodlawn had a chance to come back and win, but Jamarion Sanders’ interception ended the threat.
Selma head coach Willie Gandy said the Saints got a much important victory on the road before restarting Region play next week.
“It was a hard fought game for four quarters,” Gandy said. “Both teams fought until the very end. Extremely proud of our kids. They persevered until the end.”
Southern Prep, 61 Meadowview Christian School 0: The Trojans (0-6) continue to fall, this time on homecoming night at Wadsen Field.
Allan Holt played quarterback and ran for 100 yards for MCS.
Trojans head coach Shawn Sellers made no excuses after the game.
“We are just not were we need to be but we are going to keep working getting better we got a off week ,” Sellers said. “Hopefully we can get healthier before we play Snook Academy.”
Dallas County (1-3) has an open date this week. The Hornets host Sumter Central next Friday at Martin Field.
