Maxine McDonald age 83, formerly of Selma, passed away peacefully September  8, 2021 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville.She was born February 11, 1938 in Lincoln Al to William McBurnette and Lona Ford McBurnette. She was a longtime member of Elkdale Baptist church where she was an active member of the Joy Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Elkdale Garden Club and served as President and Vice President of the Selma

Pilot Club. She loved gardening and painting.

She is survived by her children, James Lewis (Ginny); Kelley McDonald Stone ( Wayne).

Grandchildren Deborah McDonald Alley (Jason) Amy Mason (Jeremy); Suzanne Stone Ray (Jeremy). Great grandchildren Bailey McDonald; Brandon McDonald; Oscar Higginbotham and Maggie Mason and Great Great grandchildren Phoebe Jones and Molly Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her Parents William McBurnette, Lona Ford McBurnette O’Banion and Robert O’Banion; Husband James A. McDonald; son Jeffery Clark McDonald and brother Jerome Mayfield.

A private family graveside service was held on September 9, 2021 at Pineview Memorial Gardens with Shane Ogle officiating.
