A Celebration of Life Service for Jason “Jase” Thomas Alderman, Jr., 19, of Anniston, will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Golden Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Roland P. Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm on Sunday at the church.
Jase passed away August 27, 2021.
Jase was born in Anniston. He was a 2020 Summa Cum Laude graduate of The Donoho School where he played football and baseball and was All-County and All-Region in both sports. He also participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Jase was always the person who took care of all the needs of people in his class and earned the nickname, PawPaw. He especially loved hunting and fishing. Jase was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the security team and the youth group. He was currently attending Auburn University and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Jase was also a big fan of Johnny Cash, Waffle House, and Fuji.
Jase is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vann and Billie Alderman; and his great grandmother, Mrs. Robert Quarles
He is survived by his parents, Jason and Kristie Alderman; his sister, Anna Catherine Alderman; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Swift and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Kee; great grandfather, Robert Quarles; aunts and uncles, Robby and April Kee, Christopher and Camille Alderman, and Lee and Joy Sumner; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Payne Golden, Dalton Nelson, Reid Williamon, Cooper Montgomery, Nic Wright, Edwin Connell, Kam Thomas, Andrew Harris, and the brothers of the Alpha Gamma Rho at Auburn University.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Jase Alderman Memorial Fund at The Donoho School, 2501 Henry Road, Anniston, AL 36207 (https://app.mobilecause.com/form/f83CHg?vid=16o7w).
It is requested that guests attending the visitation and service please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
