Central Alabama Panthers win basketball tournament

The Central Alabama Panthers of Selma won the D1 Montgomery City Fest Tournament Championship for 17-Under last month.
The Panthers won all five games at the event held at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex on April 16-18 in Montgomery.
CAP faced teams from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. They beat ABC Basketball 62-50 in the finals.
Joshua Brown (Dallas County), Marvion Jones (Selma High), Barrian Moorer (Southside), Ja’Taveon Spears (Southside), and Frederico Tyre (Dallas County) all received golden ticket invitations for the All-Star Tournament team.
Aaron Strong (Selma High) was named the game’s MVP.
The Panthers, coached by James Spears, will compete in the Panhandle Tournament in Mobile on May 15-16.
