Bush Hog presented a lawnmower to Perry Varner Detention Center on Monday.
The Dallas County Commission were present as the 70-year-old organization donated a high-powered lawnmower to Perry Varner. Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn and Commissioners Curtis Williams, Jan Justice, Vivian Rogers were present.
Bush Hog Marketing manager Julie Booker said it’s an honor to serve the community and assist Perry Varner juveniles.
“We’re glad to help the youth,” Booker said. “We’re looking forward to some of the youth working one day at Bush Hog.”
Marcus Hannah, Camp Perry Varner and Juvenile Detention Center director, said he’s grateful to Bush Hog and the Dallas County Commission for helping the youth improve their lives.
“I thank Bush Hog and the Dallas County Commission,” Hannah said. “Our young men are doing a wonderful job in the community. This lawnmower will help them with their community service.”
Nunn praised both Hannah and Bush Hog for their work in the community.
“Marcus Hannah has done a great job and Bush Hog stepped up,” Nunn said. “As both City Attorney and now Probate Judge, I’ve seen the good work they do in the community.”
Rogers, Williams and Justice agreed with Nunn, saying Bush Hog is a valuable asset to the city.
