S.A.F.E. Task Force arrest five suspects in Dallas County

The S.A.F.E. Task Force made five drug arrests over a two-day span this week in Dallas County.

The group consisting of the Dallas County Sheriff Office, Selma Police Department, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Fourth Judicial Task Force and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested five suspects between Wednesday and Thursday.

Here are the arrests:

-Mario Barley, 28, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday night and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana on Vine Street.

-Charles Eaton, 28, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday night and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana on Vine Street.

-Jalen Tate, 18, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday night and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and attempting to elude on the block of 1917 Broad Street.

-AdarricesTate, 18, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday night and charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and attempting to elude on the block of 1917 Broad Street.

-Kenyada Dukes, 33, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Thursday morning and charged with possession of controlled substance at MLK Street.

Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum said over a pound of marijuana and two firearms were among the items found the string of arrests.

“People need to know that Dallas County is not a place to bring drugs,” Granthum said. “If you come into the county with drugs, you will be arrested.”
