Gospel Tabernacle and Sonlight Outreach held a food giveaway at a different location on Tuesday.
Members of the Selma Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff Office, Snow’s Cleaning Service owner LeMarkus A. Snow assisted Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson giving away 1,000 boxes of food at the Old Winn Dixie location on 1800 Dallas Avenue.
The location was changed because COVID-19 vaccinations were administered at Bloch Park, the food giveaway’s regular location.
A long line of vehicles circled around the property to pick up boxes that contained frozen chicken, vegetables, onions, yogurt, and assorted fruits.
Dr. CeCe Grayson, Grayson’s wife, said the location did not hurt the giveaway.
“The change in location did not affect the giveaway, it went great,” Dr. Grayson said.
