The Valley Grande City Council unanimously passed two resolutions at its Council meeting on Monday night.
The entire Council was present: Mayor Wayne Labbe and council members Kay Davidson, Jane Harris, Sara Day, Bruce Hughes and Robbie Rose.
Resolution 2021-123 was appointing Kim Harris as the new City Clerk/Treasurer. Harris replaced Janet Frasier, who spent 11 years in the position and left for another job last month. Harris was previously the Assistant City Clerk and her replacement is expected to get hired this week.
Resolution 2021-124 involved the Valley Grande City bank accounts, adding Harris’ name and removing Frasier’s name to it.
In other council news:
– The council also approve the opening of a Concession Bid for baseball and softball season at the Sports Complex. Bids will start Feb. 8 and end at 4 p.m. on Feb. 22. The bids will be posted at City Hall and on Facebook.
-Bubba Holley of Valley Grande Parks and Recreation told the council that baseball and softball seasons will start between the end of March and first part of April.
-Councilman Robbie Rose gave Holley name of contractors to repair the roof and dug outs at the Sports Complex from the last council meeting. They hope to get completed before the season opens.
