A Dallas County man died from injuries from a single-vehicle crash last week.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Michael Anthony Towns of Sardis was seriously injured when the 2002 Chevrolet S10 he was driving overturned and left the roadway on Jan. 27.

Towns, 62, was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery and died of injuries sustained during the crash on Sunday. ALEA said that Towns was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 41 near the 113-mile marker, approximately 10 miles south of Selma city limits.

No further details are available as Troopers in the ALEA Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate the accident.
