Southside High sweeps Wilcox Central
Tre Towns scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Southside beat Wilcox Central 67-54.
Barrian Moorer added 14 points, eight assists, followed by Christopher Thomas’ 12 points and four steals.
Southside girls 36, Wilcox Central 33: Jakeria Robinson led the Lady Panthers with 17 points. Shamya Allison added 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Laterika Edwards grabbed seven rebounds.
Southside beat Wilcox Central earlier this season.
Calhoun 73, Keith 66: Tommy Tisdale III scored 28 points in the loss for the Bears (2-5). DeCarlos Moore added 14 for Keith, who received votes in the first Alabama Sportswriter Association Class 1A poll released last week.
Lee-Scott girls 50, Morgan Academy 33: Bailey Brown scored 15 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists. Sarah Thomas scored eight points, Leanna Johnson grabbed nine rebounds for the Lady Senators (3-6).
Lee Scott 67, Morgan Academy 56: The Senators dropped to 1-5 with the loss. Andrew Thomas led the Senators with 14 points, while Chris Gardner added 11 points.
