The Dallas County Sheriff Office and Northside Baptist Church teamed up to hold a Christmas giveaway drive a week before Christmas.

DCSO and Northside Baptist Church delivered various gifts to families in Dallas County. The gifts included bicycles, dolls and games.  Dallas County residents, Ladies of ESA and Veteran of Foreign Wars were among the organizations that donated.

“I can’t thank the community enough for helping us,” Northside Baptist Church member Kathy Smith said. “The season is all about Jesus and his love. Everybody needs love.”

Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum said it’s all about helping residents in Dallas County.

“We want to help and show a different side of the Dallas County Sheriff Office other than arresting people,” Granthum said. “A lot of people can’t afford to have Christmas because of the COVID pandemic.”
