LIFT Ministries donate Thanksgiving dinner to Dallas County jail inmates
LIFT Ministries funded Thanksgiving dinner for 140 inmates at the Dallas County Jail on Wednesday.
LIFT Ministries Founder/CEO LaTanglia Williams said the organization received donations from several local organizations, family and friends.
Inmates also received a snack/treat bag and a hygiene bag. The Culinary Staff prepared the food.
“Giving back to the community, gives you a greater sense of purpose,” Williams said. “You wake up each day knowing you’re about to do something meaningful. You look forward to each time you affect positive change on people who have touched your hearts. It’s an indescribable, feeling that I wish everyone will experience.”
Williams is the daughter of Dallas County Commissioner Curtis Williams and Jerolene Williams, head of the Dallas County Career Technical Center and administrator for the county’s Career Technical Education program.
