Meadowview Christian school falls in AISA final four

Meadowview Christian School enjoyed its best volleyball season in school history.
The Lady Trojans (11-11) reached the Final Four, falling to Jackson Academy in four sets on Monday at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.
“I’m super proud of the our girls for making the Final Four,” MCS coach Bob Taylor said. “They played hard all year long.”
MCS lost 26-24, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-12.
The Lady Trojans beat Crenshaw Academy in four sets in the Elite Eight. MCS won 26-24, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-7.
Leading performers for the Lady Trojans in the two combined games: Reagan Burton (31 assists, 10 aces), Grace Redd (15 kills, four aces, two digs), Kaylee Chancey (eight digs, six aces, eight kills), Emily Reynolds (seven digs, seven aces).
MCS earned its spot in the Elite Eight by winning the Region championship.
