Morgan Academy headmaster Mark Knight confirmed over the weekend that a few high school students tested positive for the coronavirus last week.
Knight added that Morgan Academy conducted virtual learning over the last three days of last week.
“We have a few cases of high school students with the virus,” Knight said. “We are following our Covid-19 Medical Response Plan which includes a shift to virtual learning for the positive students plus any students with whom they were in close contact. Out of an abundance of caution, we decided to have the entire high school do virtual learning for the last three days.
“We hope these aggressive measures will help reduce the spread of the virus for the entire school. I am proud of our teachers and students for the smooth transition and appreciate the parents’ support of these decisions and processes.”
