Morgan Academy pulled off another dramatic victory to stay unbeaten.
The Senators knocked off Clark Prep 37-34 on the road Friday night.
Holt Utsey scored three touchdowns for the Senators (2-0). Andrew Thomas scored twice for Morgan Academy. Rhyne Williams had a two-point conversion reception from Thomas.
“What a win, I’m so sxcited for these kids,” Senators head coach Danny Raines said. “They played their hearts out. We obviously need to do a better job of taking care of the ball. To beat another good team on the road is another really good win. I hope that we can keep it going.”
Selma High 42, Marbury 26: The Saints (1-1) got their first win of the season, getting a road victory. The Saints had over 500 yards in total offense.
Linden 44, Keith 0: The Bears (0-1) lost their opener in Marengo County.
“We made too many mistakes and we had a lot of inexperienced players.” Bears coach Anthony Lumpkin said. “We shot ourselves in the foot. We couldn’t captialize on their mistakes.”
