A bond hearing was held Monday for three suspects connected to the Citgo gas station robbery.
Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said his office requested to Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong that bond be set at 1 million for Jerry Blocton, 18, Davion Rochell, 17, and Curtis Burns, 19. The teenage trio are all being charged with attempted murder and first-degree robbery. They are locked in the Dallas County Jail and placed under no bond.
The incident occurred on Aug. 13 around 11 p.m. at the 400 block of Highway 80 East. Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford said the two store clerks were in the parking lot after the store closed as three men walked up with guns. Fulford said the suspects took money from one clerk and shot the other clerk in the head. They ran from the scene.
The SPD arrested the suspects 24 hours later.
“Judge Armstrong took the bonds under advisement, thankfully the victim is still alive,” Jackson said.
