Family Dollar announces Grand Opening in Selma

Family Dollar will have a grand opening at its newest location in Selma this weekend.
The grand opening celebrates the opening of Family Dollar on 1018 Highland Avenue although the store opened two weeks ago.
The new Family Dollar store is at the Rite Aid drug store building was purchased by John Stanley and Associates a year ago. The 12,000 square foot building on 1.38 acre parcel had a sales price of $350,000 and the seller was The Frank Living Trust. The transaction took place on Nov. 4.
In addition to providing everyday low prices and a broad assortment of necessities, the new store will include $1.00 Dollar Tree merchandise, additional freezers and coolers and an expanded selection of food, beauty and essentials, household products, and seasonal items.
“Family Dollar is proud to be a part of the Selma community and we are excited to welcome existing and new customers to our new store,” Family Dollar spokesperson Jim Van Slyke said in a statement. “The store will provide even greater values and convenience to our shoppers.”
