Several presidential candidates to appear at Jubilee

Several Democratic Candidates looking to replace Donald Trump as President of the United States will be within the Queen City limits this weekend to take part in the Bridge Crossing Jubilee commemorations.
Over the past couple of days, the official Bridge Crossing Jubilee have officially announced that U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Former Vice President Joe Biden, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and philanthropist Tom Steyner will all make appearances in Selma this weekend.
Warren, Klobuchar and Steyner are all confirmed to be participants in presidential forum moderated by MSNBC’s Joy Reed of “AM Joy” and Rev. Mark Thompson of “Make it Plain with Mark Thompson” at Wallace Community College – Selma at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.
Announcements from the Bridge Crossing Jubilee Committee did not confirm whether or not Biden, Buttigige or Bloomberg would be participants.
While the Bridge Crossing Jubilee Committee did not specify if all six candidates would participate in the MSNBC-moderated forum, the Committee did Verify that all six candidates would take part in the crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Each year, thousands of people take part in the bridge-crossing to in remembrance of those harmed during Bloody Sunday on March 7, 1965 which lead to the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
Absent from the list of candidates to be seen in Selma this weekend is Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
Sanders has not been confirmed by his campaign nor the Bridge Crossing Jubilee Committee to be in town over the weekend.
Sanders did attend Jubilee last year to speak at the Annual Martin and Coretta King Unity Breakfast.
Jubilee kicked of on Thursday Night with a Mass Meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church and will conclude with the presidential forum at WCCS.
