Ronald Danford “Jack” Frost, formerly of Selma, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Virginia Hardy Frost; his daughters, Rhonwyn Giddens (John), Leann Pass (Michael); seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Dorothy Morrison-Mullen; and three brothers, Rodney Beck, Richard Frost, and Raymond Frost. Jack was born in Massachusetts to Leander and Margaret Frost.
He joined the U.S .Air Force where he was given the name “Jack Frost” and retired as Senior Master Sgt. He also served and retired from the US Postal Service. He was very active in the Lion’s Club in Selma and ironically, became blind in his older age. He was honored by the Helen Keller Institute for his work to help those who have impaired vision.
Jack loved spending time with his family and enjoyed trips to the beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Roger Frost, Robert Frost, and Roy Frost.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Selma with a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery, Selma.
