Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to host College and Career Fair Saturday

- The Zeta Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. parterned with the Cahaba Center for Mental Health to hold a walk to raise awareness for mental health Saturday morning at Memorial Stadium.

The local chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Inc. will host a College and Career Fair at noon Saturday at the Ivy and Pearl Service Center located at 515 Bell Rd.
The Zeta Eta Omega Chapter of the AKAs will work with juniors and seniors across Dallas County through their national initiative, the College Admission Process (CAP). Parents are encouraged to attend the fair.
The sorority will guide the prospective college students through the application and enrollment process, which includes the financial aid ordeal.
Mini workshops at the fair will include the following: how to apply for college; what is financial aid; scholarships; college test preparation; clearing house; career technical field; and choosing a STEM Career.
Zeta Eta Omega members will also share their college experiences with the students.
