Marquarious Reese threw for 363 yards and passed for five touchdowns as Southside hammered A.L. Johnson 66-0 in its season-finale on Thursday at Panther Stadium.

Dre Williams ran for 105 yards and a touchdown. Marquis Cole, Ernest Hatcher, Chris Bonner, Taye Spears and Mariyon Johnson all scored touchdowns for the Panthers (5-5).

“It was a great way to finish the season,” Panthers coach Charles Moody said. “The seniors ended their career with a win. It was a great building block going into next year. The team went from 0-10 to 5-5, it was a great improvement and a lot of kids are serious about football.”

Morgan Academy 42, Cornerstone Christian School 13: The Senators (4-7) close the season with a road win.

Holt Utsey scored two touchdowns. Andrew Thomas connected with Andrew Morris on a touchdown pass. Tyler Elliott ran for a touchdown. Will Ingram and Matthew Free each had interception returns for touchdowns.

Crenshaw Christian Academy 68, Meadowview Christian School 0: The Trojans (0-10) close their second straight AISA second winless.

“We have played a tough schedule, nine of the 10 teams we faced made the playoffs,” MCS coach Bob Taylor said. “The kids have improved all year and our seniors played hard.”
