Five Dallas County schools will compete in the Area Volleyball tournaments next week.

The Area 5 tournaments in Class 1A, 3A and 4A will be held Monday. The Class 6A tournament starts Tuesday. The area champion and runner-up advances to the Regional Tournament, which will be held Saturday in Montgomery.

Sweetwater is hosting the Area 5, 1A tournament and will face Ellwood Christian Academy on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Keith High squares off against Linden at 2:30 p.m. The finals will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Montgomery Academy is hosting the Area 5, 3A tournament on Monday and will face Southside at 1:30 p.m. The winner advances to the finals against either Pike Road School or Prattville Christian at 3:15 p.m.

Greensboro is hosting the Area 5, 4A on Monday and earned a bye as the top seed. Dallas County faces Sumter Central at 1:30 p.m. and the winner meets Greensboro in the finals at 3 p.m.

The Area 5, 6A tournament will be held Tuesday at Wetumpka. Selma faces Stanhope-Elmore at 4:30 p.m. and the winner meets Wetumpka in the finals at 6 p.m.

First round of the AISA Tournament starts Tuesday. Morgan Academy hosts Bessemer Academy at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Regardless if the Lady Senators win, they will host the second-round game at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Meadowview Christian School hosts North River Academy at 5 p.m. Tuesday. MCS travels to Wilcox Academy for the semifinals on Thursday.
