Dallas County fell to Elmore County 35-30 on Friday night.

The Hornets (3-5) remain in the Class 4A state playoff race. Aaron Fails scored twice for the Hornets. Calvin Griffin threw a touchdown pass to Marquavious Pullom.

Evangel Academy 34, Morgan Academy 27: Andrew Thomas threw three touchdown passes for the Senators (3-6). Holt Utsey had two touchdown receptions and a rushing touchdown. Josh Brown caught a touchdown pass.

“Evangel outplayed us tonight, we gave up too many big plays,” Senators coach Josh Thacker said.

Wetumpka 31, Selma High 14: The Saints (4-4, 2-3 Region 3, Class 6A) made the playoffs despite the loss.

Bullock County 35, Southside 30: Bullock County clinched a Class 3A state playoff berth. Dre Williams scored twice for the Panthers. Ernest Hatcher also scored for Southside (4-4, 3-3) , who’s eliminated from playoff contention.

Chambers Academy 42, Meadowview Christian 0:  The Trojans (0-8) fell to second-ranked Chambers Academy.

Isabella 60, Ellwood Christian Academy 6: The Eagles fall to 1-7, 1-4 in Region 3, Class 1A. Edward Garner scored the Eagles’ only touchdown.
