Perry County man charged with girlfriend’s murder

A Perry County resident allegedly murdered his girlfriend on Tuesday night, according to Fourth Judicial Circuit District Attorney Michael Jackson.
Jackson said Jessica Davis, 37, was allegedly killed by Jimmy Johnson at Cahaba Apartments in Uniontown. Johnson is being charged with murder and currently in the Perry County Jail.
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Demopolis Police Department are all investigating the murder, according to Jackson.
Jackson said Johnson may have strangled Davis. He also said the Alabama Department of Forensic Science are conducting an autopsy.
