Isaac Wendell Coombs passed away September 2, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born April 29, 1936.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Marshburn. Wendell served his country for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force with two tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Skinner Furniture and Pineview Memory Gardens. During his later years, he traveled the U.S. with his beloved wife, Jan, working at KOA campgrounds.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice Coombs; children, Michael (Sue) Averette, Robin (Phillip) Daniels, Lisa (Teddy) Koch, Tonya Teal, Shannon (Mark) Majors, Patsy Frith and Joy Coombs; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Glenn Brock officiating.

Abundant Life Sunday School Class of Westwood Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
