Selma QB Captain Bob Frazer said one of the QB club’s main goal is scholarships. He estimates the QB club has awarded almost $1 million in scholarships throughout its long, illustrious history.

The club annually presents five $4,000 scholarships to high school football players in the Selma/Dallas County area who plans on attending college.

“We have worked hard to present the best lineup possible for our members,” Frazer said. “Menzo Driskell works very hard on the speakers and a few others have helped bring things together for a fantastic lineup.”

Anyone wanting to join the QB club can either sign up Monday or call Bob Frazer at (334) 874-4654. The membership fee is $195.

Finance chairman and club member, Forrest Hatfield said last year that the purpose of the Selma Quarterback club is, “fellowship, food and football.” He also said the club prides itself on awarding scholarships and serving the community.
