Annual grant event contributes to community

It is time for the International Paper (IP) Riverdale Mill to accept applications for IP Foundation grants, which provides thousands of dollars in grant support to schools and charities in the Selma-Dallas County area.

There is still time to apply for the grants with the online application being Sept. 18 at 5 p.m.

Programs related to education, hunger, health and wellness and disaster relief have a greater consideration.

Education is programs focused on helping children succeed via a comprehensive approach to education, with priority given to literacy programs from birth to third grade; hunger programs are dedicated to helping food security; health and wellness are anything to do with forming healthy habits and disaster relief are to help communities be ready for anything.

Applications can be filled out online at www.ipgiving.com – applicants can visit the website and click on the “Apply for a Grant” link in the left-hand column to begin the process.
