Dallas-Wilcox County Bama Club sells out ticket allotment

The Dallas-Wilcox County Bama Club’s contest for two home football games at Bryant-Denny Stadium this season is over.
The club has sold all of its 300 tickets. The deadline to buy tickets was Aug. 24. Prices for the raffle tickets were $20 for one and $100 for five tickets, get one free.
The winner will be drawn and announced Aug. 27 at 7:30 a.m. live on Dixie 100.1 FM radio station with George Henry.
“We usually go down to the wire selling these tickets,” Dallas-Wilcox County Bama Club President Ronnie Leet said. “I’m pleased that it’s completed. It shows the strength of the Alabama football fan base.”
The winning package has two pre-game meals for all of the SEC home games at the Culverhouse School of Commerce and a parking pass.
All proceeds go to Dallas-Wilcox County Bama Club scholarship fund. Eleven graduates received $2,700 scholarships in May.
The Bama Club awarded a total of $30,000 from the 11 endowments setup for the scholarships.
Ronia Gorden (Selma High), Tanita Harris (Amelia L. Johnson High), Lillian Youngblood (Morgan Academy), Mary Margaret Beers (Morgan Academy), Ellie Adams (Morgan Academy), Hardin Utsey (Morgan Academy), Preston McGee (Dallas County High, Hunter Towns (Dallas County High), Rachel Knight (Thomasville High), Pearson Whitaker (Morgan Academy) and Shakira Scott (Wilcox Central) were the class of 2019 recipients.
“The ticket contest is our only fundraiser and we count on it to be successful,” Leet said. “It goes to our scholarship fund.”
Alabama home games this season are New Mexico State (Sept. 7), Southern Miss (Sept. 21), Ole Miss (Sept. 28), Tennessee (Oct. 19), Arkansas (Oct. 26), LSU (Nov. 9) and Western Carolina (Nov. 23).
