Wayne Clifton Deer, Sr. passed away August 8, 2019 at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by his father, Mancill Clifton Deer and his mother, Fannie Godwin Deer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patsy Rainwater Deer, two children, Wayne Clifton Deer, Jr.(Camille), Christopher Allen Deer(Kristin), six grandchildren, Henley Hughes, Ashley Deer Wallis(Rob), Parker Hughes(Whitney), Mary Peyton Deer, Hudson Deer and Alyse Deer, four great-grandchildren, Lillie Grace and Ella Wallis, Harper and Rowan Hughes.

Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 1 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m.in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Pastor Dayne Massey officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

Wayne is celebrating with his Lord and Savior. Our sincere prayer is that all of his dear family and friends will know the Lord as well, and be reunited with him one day.
