City of Selma had safe Memorial Day

No major arrests took place on Memorial Day, according to the Selma Police Department.

Selma Police Chief Spencer Collier said no major incidents took place Monday.

“No significant traffic incidents,” Collier said. “Officers were busy in the later afternoon and evening with several disorderly conduct and fight calls.”

The police report lists five incidents of shots being fired, but no victims. The report also lists five incidents of fights, but no one was hurt. The report only listed two incidents of harassment in progress.

Collier said there was no update on the May 24 high school graduation that occurred in the 3200 block of County Road 19.  The SPD is still investigating the incident.
