The Selma Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for a robbery that occurred Monday at Winn Dixie.

According to SPD Sgt. Ray Blanks, the SPD’s Criminal Investigation Division and Special Operation Unit have identified Rashawn Sahee Edwards and charge him with third-degree robbery.

Edwards, 34, allegedly beat and robbed a 92-year-old female in the parking lot. The victim was getting into her vehicle when the attack began.

SPD Detectives have learned Edwards cross-dresses, dressing both as male and a female. Blanks said Edwards is possibly driving in a stolen gray Kia Spectra he hijacked in Orrville.
