Small Business Workshop at Regions

Operation HOPE is hosting a Small Business Workshop at Regions Bank this Thursday from 3-4 p.m.
Thousands of small businesses open up in America every month. Aspirational entrepreneurs spend hours of hard work and many sleepless nights making sure that their new venture is a success.
But for every determined self-starter, there’s someone who’d love to start their own business that has no idea where to start.
“Starting a small business can be overwhelming,” said Operation HOPE Financial Well-being Counselor Stephanie Tarver. “But all you need is a plan.”
Operation HOPE is a non-profit organization that works with individuals to help their overall financial situation.
Operation HOPE provides small business and credit counseling as well as teaches individuals to improve their credit scores and reduce debt, all at zero cost to clients.
Thursday’s Small Business Workshop will focus on educating attendees on what to expect when starting a small business as well as ease some of the fears that come with figuring out how to begin.
Tarver says she encourages her clients to follow their passions.
“People that go into a business plan with passion and skills are the ones who are still in business 10 or 15 years down the road,” said Tarver. “The ones without passion are usually the ones that fail.”
The Project HOPE Small Business Workshop is free to attend, but reservations via evenbrite.com are required. Contact Stephanie Tarver at stephanie.tarver@operationhope.org or by calling (334) 327 3293.
