Morgan Academy defeated Fort Dale 12-3 in its Area opener on Tuesday night.

The game was tied 3-3 after seven innings and the Senators (9-0, 1-0) scored nine runs in the eighth inning.

Gunnar Henderson had two hits, a double and triple and also pitched two innings, striking out five batters to get the win in relief.

Matthew Davis had two hits and a pair of RBI.

Jeremy Lee struck out seven of the nine batters he faced.
