Morgan Academy holds off Tuscaloosa Academy

- Morgan’s Gunnar Henderson throws a pitch in a game against Fort Dale Academy. Henderson pitched all seven innings in a 6-5 win over Glenwood Thursday.
Gunnar Henderson, Jeremy Lee and David Ducote all homered as Morgan Acadeny beat Tuscaloosa Academy 5-1 on Thursday night.
Lee and Henderson each had two hits. Lee got the win, allowing only one run on a hit. Henderson earned the save, throwing three innings of no-hit ball for the unbeaten Senators (8-0).
Morgan Academy begins Area play on the road next week, starting Tuesday at Fort Dale and a doubleheader Thursday at Success Unlimited.
Thorsby 12, Selma High 0: Nick Nettles and Amarion Molette had the Saints’ only hits of the game.
Nettles was the losing pitcher and struck out four batters.
