Parade watchers arrived long before the parade kicked off at around 9 a.m.

Beginning at Selma High School, the parade made it’s way down broad street, turned left onto Dallas Avenue and circled it’s way back to Selma High School.

The parade had no shortage of participants. Mascots, marching bands, muscle cars, cheerleaders, dancers, civic groups and community members made their way down Broad Street for over an hour.

As the parade finished up around 11 a.m., spectators continued the Jubilee celebration by moving toward the Edmund Pettus Bridge for the street festival.
