Morgan Academy split its quarterfinal games at the AISA State Basketball Tournament on Wednesday at the Cramton Bowl Multi-Plex in Montgomery.

The Lady Senators beat Northside Methodist 38-32; the Senators fell to Pike Liberal Arts 62-55.

Gunnar Henderson led Morgan Academy with 19 points, Dione Allen had 13.

Abigail Lane led the Lady Senators with 16 points.

Morgan Academy (14-7) will meet Tuscaloosa Academy (23-3) in the Final Four at 10 a.m. Friday in Montgomery. A win puts the Lady Senators into the state finals at 5 p.m. Saturday night.

“We play a really good Tuscaolosa team,” Morgan Academy coach Lebo Jones said. “They have beaten us twice this year, but that was early. The girls are playing with a lot of confidence right now. We feel really good about where we are right now. ”
