1,500 Alabama Power Customers lost service Monday afternoon, power restored

Approximately 1,500 Alabama Power Company customers lost service at 4:24 p.m. Monday afternoon in Selma and Dallas County.

Service was restored to approximately 700 customers around 5:30 p.m., according to Mike Jordan, a spokesperson with Alabama Power Company.

Around 5:51 p.m., power was restored to the remaining 800 customers, Jordan said.

Jordan said a tree limb had fallen into the line.
