Selma High turns back Stanhope-Elmore

Marqwavis Davis scored 13 points as Selma High beat Stanhope-Elmore 60-52 on Tuesday night.
Terrion Posey added 10 points as the Saints improved to 14-8 overall, 2-0 in Area 3.
Selma coach Ronald Lane praised the efforts of Javonte Stubbs, Tyshawn Garner, MJ Harris, Kamau Little and Justin Manzie.
Selma girls 71, Stanhope-Elmore 25: Rodericka Parker scored 21 points, Tasharri Grimes added 19 to lead the Lady Saints (15-8, 2-0). Caziah Simmons added 13 points, Aeraonna Manuel finished with 12.
Keith 69, Sweetwater 40: Arayvion Jones scored 28 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Bears. Kendarius Perry added 14 points, while Mark Young contributed with 10 points and five rebounds.
Francis Marion 68, Dallas County 58: Kendall Thomas scored 19 points in a losing cause for the Hornets, Octavious Palmer added 14. Roosevelt Harris led Francis Marion with 16 points, Jerry Mahan added 11.
Booker T. Magnet 52, Southside 45: The Panthers fell in overtime at Robert E. Lee Gymnasium in Montgomery.
Francis Marion 60, Maplesville 29: Harris led Francis Marion with 15 points. Stephon Essex added 10 points and seven rebounds.
