SPD Sgt. Ray Blanks said the arrest stems from an incident that occurred on the 900 block of Kings Bend Road on Oct. 27. During the physical altercation, James Thomas and Charles Cooper were both shot. SPD detectives responded to the scene and checked video surveillance. The officers learned that Lewis was the primary suspect.

Lewis’ preliminary date is scheduled for Jan. 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dallas County Courthouse.
