Betty Lou Kendall, age 86, passed away December 7, 2018.  She was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Rev. Stanley and Mrs. Evelyn Kendall and lived in the state of Indiana, Kentucky and Florida until the family moved to Selma, where their roots have extended downward to hold it in place since 1963.

Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Kendall Harrison.  She is survived by Charles Harrison, brother-in-law; Karen (Tony) Smith, niece and nephew-in-law; Keaton Jones, great-nephew; along with cousins, friends, former students and caregiver, Marie Barnett.

Arrangements will be directed by Selma Funeral Home with visitation being on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. and the service being in the chapel after the visitation at 2 p.m.  Dr. Michael Avery will officiate the service.

The family will receive flowers, but suggests instead that donations be made to the Gideons International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, Tennessean, 37214-0800.
