Dallas County is getting ready for Christmas celebrations, and there is a lot coming up to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

Trees are being set up for the Christmas Tree River Walk, which will provide a free and festive Christmas event at the Riverfront Park.

Selma’s Downtown Christmas Parade also will be Dec. 1 starting at 10 a.m.

There are numerous other events being planned this December.

This time of the year is a chance to come together again in the spirit of the holiday season.

We experienced more hardship this Thanksgiving, and we are hoping and praying for a peaceful Christmas time.

We encourage holiday celebration during this time of the year, and hope that everyone will participate in the events planned by the city and Dallas County.
