Gospel Tabernacle Church of Christ in God will be sponsoring a Holiday Food Giveaway to benefit the 68 City of Selma workers recently laid off from their jobs.

The church is partnering with The Gathering Place Restaurant, Never Forgotten Treasures and Walton Theater to make the donations possible.

Every Wednesday of November between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., unemployed workers can stop by the church at 2300 Summerfield Road to receive a grocery donation.

Further, workers can register children for the Christmas Toy Wishlist when they stop by. The toy collection is being sponsored by Miami Fusion Café and its customers.
