The Selma Police Department (SPD) is investigating an overnight shooting that left one Selma man dead.

SPD Chief Spencer Collier said that Raven Carter, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Collier said that the shooting happened on the corner of Minter Avenue and Duke Street between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m.

Collier said the department hopes to have warrants for arrests by the end of Sunday.
