The Selma and Dallas County Public Library will host the second event of its Lunch at the Library series for the fall season.

On Oct.4 at noon, author Herbert James Lewis will present his Bicentennial book, “Alabama Founders: Fourteen Political and Military Leaders Who Shaped the State”.

“This selection is by no means a complete list of the great men of our state,” Becky Nichols, executive director of the Selma and Dallas County Library, said in a release.  “James has concentrated on those who opened our state for settlement, secured her statehood and laid the foundation for development.”
