St. Paul leader an inspiration as he moves to new job
Rector Jack Alvey has been a prominent member of the community since he came here four years ago.
He has been immersed in the community’s history and has worked with various groups to make the community better and to move forward in the goals the people of Selma have set in place.
While his time here is coming to an end, we must remember the encouragement he brought to not only his congregation, but to the entire community be a light in the darkness.
In the midst of trouble in Selma, it is our duty to be a shining light in the dark times that the town is facing, and we must not forget that we can all be the influence needed to make this town a better place.
We hope that his legacy here at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will live in with the choosing of the next leader and we hope that whoever they are, that they will be able to build off the foundation he has made in the church and the community.
Good luck in your time at Vestavia Hills, Jack.
You are always welcome here.
